Reef drifts, island escapes, and bioluminescent paddles under the Pacific sky

Background
Founded in 1994 by the Government of the Republic of Palau, the Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) is the official destination marketing organisation for one of the Pacific’s most unspoiled island nations. Based in Koror, PVA brings together public and private stakeholders to foster sustainable tourism while protecting Palau’s extraordinary natural and cultural heritage.

About Palau
Set in the western Pacific, the Republic of Palau is an archipelago of more than 340 limestone and volcanic islands surrounded by turquoise lagoons and vibrant coral atolls. Home to the UNESCO-listed Rock Islands and the ethereal Jellyfish Lake, Palau offers unrivalled seascapes — from swaying soft corals and WWII wreck dives to hidden caves and mangrove-fringed channels. With a year-round tropical climate and strict marine protection laws, Palau has preserved some of the planet’s most biodiverse waters — a living laboratory and a storyteller’s dream.

Why Visit Palau
Palau champions zero-waste, conservation-first tourism under strict marine-protection laws — ensuring its turquoise lagoons, vibrant reefs and lush forests remain virtually untouched. Every activity supports local communities and ecosystem preservation, so travellers can explore WWII wrecks, coral walls and hidden caves guilt-free. With expert guides fluent in Palauan traditions and ecology, every journey is as enlightening as it is unforgettable.

Diving & Snorkelling
Glide through Blue Corner’s famous drift currents alongside curious reef sharks, explore WWII wrecks now reborn as vibrant coral havens, or embark on Black Water night dives to capture glowing bioluminescent creatures.

Island & Water Adventures
Sail or kayak through the emerald channels of the Rock Islands, wander on secluded sandbanks, or drift weightlessly among millions of golden jellyfish in the surreal waters of Jellyfish Lake.

Cultural Immersion
Step inside a traditional bai (men’s meeting house) to hear ancient stories, watch canoe-building demonstrations, enjoy traditional dances and try your hand at weaving techniques or learn the art of carving a storyboard.

Land Exploration
Trek to Ngardmau Falls for a refreshing plunge beneath its crystalline cascade or follow the Ngardok Nature Trail, where limestone forests and mangrove lagoons reveal endemic birds and hidden wildlife.
