Rotary Club of Palau: Typhoon Bopha Relief Fund

Message from Marc Bauman, Sales & Marketing Director, Sam’s Tours Palau:

Bopha Destruction Palau

As you probably know we were hit last week by a category 4 Typhoon and while Koror came out pretty much with minimal damage, parts of Palau were hit very hard. We currently have hundreds of people homeless and in need. Sam’s and the Palau Siren have decided to work with the Rotary Club of Palau for donations. They are very reputable internationally so we felt it was a good fit.

What they really need are funds to purchase food, fuel, water and supplies for the people in need. Since shipping takes so long to Palau this is a much better way. They are working closely with the big stores here and in Guam to provide what is needed but are in need of monetary assistance. Attached is a letter from the President of the Rotary here in Palau in regards to this.

I am asking all my friends and media contacts within the diving industry to help the people of Palau however they can by getting the word out. Hopefully we can get the diving world behind us and helping so this amazing place can recover and the people can heal. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Marc Bauman
